PRACTICES 101
A few reminders about practices:
- Your swimmer is NOT required to be at all practices. We encourage attendance to build skills and team camaraderie but missing practice is ok.
- Food is not allowed on the pool deck and cannot be eaten during practice. Please limit snacks to before/after and outside of the pool deck.
- We will practice if it is raining, but not if there is thunder, lightning, or hard rain where we cannot see the bottom of the pool. If there is a big storm coming, stay home!
- We will practice if the outside temperature is above 60 degrees (65 degrees for 6 and Under).
- If you’re not sure, a coach will be at the pool to advise of the status.
- Parents are not required to stay during practices
- All of our assistant coaches and head coach are certified lifeguards
- No one is allowed in the pool or mushroom besides our swimmers and coaches. Younger siblings love the sandbox and grassy area!
- What do you need to bring to practices?
- Wear your team swim suit
- Goggles
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Towel
- For the first few practices, when the pool is still cold, consider bringing a robe, warm clothes, or extra towels for chilly swimmers!
- If the pool is not yet open, we will have dry land practices. For any of those practices, dress in athletic wear, tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle.
